Clinical Research Institute HUCH Ltd. is a company owned by HUS. It is responsible for clinical trials of pharmaceutical companies or individual investigators in compliance with the Good Clinical Practice guidelines in accordance with the EU Clinical Trials Directive in the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa. International cooperation provides Finnish patients with an opportunity to take part in high-standard clinical trials in an ethically supervised environment.

Clinical Research Institute HUCH aims to offer new products in health care, based on Finnish medical research, and to develop new forms of treatment in cooperation with other research institutes.

The company's service activities are constantly developed to meet the changing needs of the researchers at the Meilahti campus. 

The managing director of the Institute is Juha Aarvala.
